Carnival
So Carnival started last night.. goes till Tuesday.. but we just went last night. It was a good time.. full of crazy costumes (everyone dresses up), crazy dutch music/eurobeats and random people.. a good night all in all. This is part of the main street for Carnival in Einhoven.

This is Bart (marte's cousin), at least I'm pretty sure thats not how you spell his name, but thats how it sounds so I'll correct it later. Anyways this is him freezing his ass off outside of his house in, yes, a kilt. It was probaly about -2 or -3 with a strong wind, and he was in a kilt and a tshirt for most of it. *shakes head.. but he says it was worth it.
I wouldn't ever have to fear road rage.
I'm pretty sure I'm buying one of these one day. Seats three people in the front, King size bed made out of pillows seats as many as you want in the back. Road trip anyone?
Who knew the beach would be cold in Febuary.. wait I DID!
So as you can see below, today I spent a very cold and tiring day at the beach with Coba and Marte. Full fo lots of over priced hot chocolates and a seemingly endless walk to the train station. Over all I'd say that it was a good day.. the cafe we went to was awsome (even if I paid 2.45 Euros for an Orange Juice).. and the cold was bearable (excpet for the purple hands).
Tommorow I venture to Belgium.

At the beach today.. It was very very cold and windy.. an exhausting day.. but worth it.
Soccer!
Went to a soccer game today.. Ajax vs. RBC... Ajax won 6-0 which isn't saying much beacuse RBC played horribly and are one of the worst ranked teams. It was a good game.. really exciting near the end. This was one of many picture I took there.
On Holiday
Holidays have started here... off for this week.
Tonight I'm going to this english comedy thing called
Boom Chicago.
Tommorow I'm seeing a Soccer Match (Ajax againts someone I think). Should be good... will most likely post some pictures of it sometime after.
I have to get around to mailing some letters back home and by new headphones.
I went to this market today with Beer and Bauke (Dad and Brother), had french fries made out of mashed potatoes, herring and some other mysterious fish like thing.
Also went to this building where New York was sold to the English and the Slave Trade originated from. Some intresting stuff, eh?
Bah.... wet... very wet today.

Posted some pictures... Hello was being screwy so one eneded up posting twice.. meh..
Had english class today.. which consisted of me talking about Canada.. it was alright.. teacher seems pretty nice..
Then spent lunch with David and Marte.. was going to go to a German class but they were doing a test or something so I went and sat in the 'Mediatheque' (yes that's what its called).. wrote some letters and listened to music.. the next classes teacher wasn't there so me and Marte got off around 12.30.. watched some Pulp Fiction then went and took pictures (see below)
So all in all a good day.. Sleep is still fucked up.. but it should get better.. hopefully.

First Day Of School
Went to school today.. it was a little confusing... no not confusing.. just boring I guess.. everythings is in dutch so I just kindof sit there.. but hopefully in two weeks when I start my own classes it will change (next weeks a holiday!)
Dinner was good tonight.. had these little pancake things... then I just got off the phone wiht my dad..

Marte, Coba, Lisa and I all went clubbing last ngiht... the first club we tried Coba and/or Lisa got I.D'd (you have to be 18 to get in... we're all 16) so we tried another... it was private... as was another one.. then we went to this student one.. it was good.. corona was only 2.50 euros... seems cheap.. free shots from the bartender.. me and lisa we're making fun of these guys.. i guess they caught on b/c the one guy got pissed at me.. almost got into a fight with him.. then marte and lisa straightened him out.. (me not speaking dutch helped.. not)
so ya.. got in at 4 last night.. slept till 2pm.. I'm so tired right now..
And tommorow will be the first day of school.. should be... interesting?

I'm Alive
Hello everyone
Ya I just thought I'd send out an e-mail.. its easier then telling the same story over and over again...
So the flight was hell.. cramped and uncomfortable.. I didn't get any sleep the entire time.. but I met everyone who was comign to holland as well.. traded e-mails and what not..
I got in around 7am your time.. 1pm here.. i was pretty dead.. had a coffee and talked wiht the parents and stuff.. then we went out to meet people... saw allot.. (this crazy long shopping street, the 'coffee' shops, the red light district,etc,etc)
walked around allot.. basically all afternoon.. met lots of really cool people..
ya.. so its going pretty good here.. still can't believe I'll be away for 3 months.. just trying not to think about that... but ya.. its good
